St Werburghs Community Centre are proudly announcing they have been awarded a £12,800 grant from Cory Environmental Trust in Britain. This will play a vital part in beginning works on their Werbuzz Werbuzz Garden in their outdoor spaces.

St Werburghs Centre wants to create a green and playful outdoor garden space with outdoor seating which provides meaningful volunteer opportunities for local people, encourages community engagement and can be used as an outdoor recreational and educational facility.

We have managed to secure some funding to start work on transforming our Werbuzz Werbuzz Community Garden and we are seeking volunteers to make it happen. The first Volunteering Day is planned for SATURDAY 24TH JUNE to focus on the perimeter gardens, save the date!

Here’s what the schedule for the day is looking like so far:

· 9.00am: ARRIVAL: Refreshments, a chat about the plan for the day and a tour


· 12.45pm: LUNCHTIME: a warm and tasty vegan meal will be served with refreshments


· 15.45pm: WIND DOWN: tidy up and reflect on the day

· 16.00pm: FINISH
