It is full of stories about pirates, European dominators, Africans and native inhabitants. The country was first populated by Arawak Indians (which quickly became extinct after the arrival of the Spanish. Today, some 3,000 or so Arawaks exist only on the island of Dominica). Tweet This summer will see the first ever Bristol Inclusive Climbing Festival, a two day event that aims to showcase the accessibility and availability of climbing for people who are deaf, disabled or who find access to adventure sports challenging. BIC fest will be hosted at The Climbing Academy and Redpoint Climbing Centre on the 28th and 29th August between 12 – 8pm.   The festival is free to all participants, who have a choice of attending one or both days. The days will include free tasters and tours, stands from organisations such as iDID Adventure and Access Bristol as well as Climbers Against Cancer.   There will also be guest speakers and representatives from the BMC on hand to motivate and inspire visitors.
