Commemorative plaque to mark Bristol’s fight for equality

On the  28th August  we saw the unveiling of a commemorative plaque to mark Bristol’s successful 1963 Bus Boycott campaign that saw a milestone in achieving equality for the city’s black and ethnic minority communities.

To celebrate Black History Month, Ujima radio will be speaking to the members of the original campaign,  Dr Paul Stephenson OBE, Guy Bailey OBE and Roy Hackett, and others in the Bristol Bus Boycott 50 Group

The impact of the Bus Boycott was to be the pathfinder for The Race Relations Act 1965.
