The Big Green & Black Debate

Slide1On Monday 27th October, Ujima Radio joined forces with BCfm for The Big Green & Black Debate, which was hosted by Pat Heart and Julz. With a live audience, the theme focussed on how best to tackle issues around inclusiveness, representation, voice and influence for the involvement of grass-root communities. To answer these questions and other questions posed from the floor, our panel included the organisers, the decision makers and other key stakeholders from the European Green Capital 2015:

·         Gus Hoyt: Assistant Mayor and Councillor for the Ashley Ward

·         Michael Clinton : Schumacher Institute

·         Andy Garrad: CEO of Bristol 2015 Ltd

·         Nina Skubala: Vice Chair of the Bristol European Green Partnership

Our first Big Green & Black Debate was an open, honest and engaging affair with tough questions posed from the floor receiving revealing responses from the panel.

We’ve split the show into 2: Listen back and let us know what you think?

Part 1: Hosted by The Mistri he spoke with audience members as well as heard the thoughts from grass-root groups via street based vox pops.

Part 2: Hosted by Pat Heart, this Question Time style format saw him fielding questions from the floor to our panel of Green Capital experts.

So, if you’re inspirsed or have any questions or thoughts that you’d like to share, tweet them to #greenblack or @ujimaradio or emailthebiggreenandblackdebate@gmail.com.
