Digital Bristol Week 2-8th February 2015

Digital Bristol Week returns to Bristol from 2 to 8 February 2015 with an exciting schedule packed with free events to help you develop your career and contacts.

As part of Bristol Digital Week, we will be opening our doors at Ujima Radio and invite you to come into our home and see what we do and how we do it!

If you’ve got ambitions to get involved in radio, be it as a journalist, a presenter, a techie or marketing, whatever your skill set or experience level why not join us on Wednesday February 4th from 1 – 5.30pm at Ujima House, Wilder St, Saint Pauls, Bristol. BS2 8QU.

On the day there will be opportunities to get hands on with bite size lessons in how to make a radio show, an opportunity to meet the team as well as get a taste of what it’s like to be live on-air.

Monday 2nd February

Digital Skills day at BBC Conference Rooms.

Find out about skills and talent requirements direct from the creative industries, create your online portfolio, learn how to code, get to grips with digital workflows and much more.

Tuesday 3rd February 

Games Day at the M Shed

A day of cutting-edge games industry talks and interviews on topics including virtual reality, games funding, and the relationship between TV and games.

Wednesday 4th February

City Open Day at various business round the city

Visit some of Bristol’s most successful creative businesses to learn first-hand about what they do and the skills they are looking for.

NHU Camera day at the BBC Conference rooms

A day for wildlife camera operators working for the BBC to try new kit and hear about new initiatives and upcoming projects.

Thursday 5th February

Immersion day at the BBC Conference Rooms

A day of debate around immersive experiences where you can try some of the technology for yourself. Featuring experts including academics, games makers, theatre directors, film makers and technologists.

Friday 6th February

Business Day at the Engine Shed

How’s your business doing? Do you have a great board or advice network, strong business support, and plenty of external funding? Are you getting the best from your assets and people?

Saturday 7th February

Maker day at Bristol Central Library

A day for the public to explore the world of 3D printed prosthetics and hear how they are changing lives. Plus, join Bristol University for their Digimakers workshops for under 18s.
