Ujima Radios Relocation Update

Important update on Ujima Radios relocation

After 6 amazing years of broadcasting from Ujima House in Wilder Street St Pauls Bristol, as of March 1st 2015, Ujima Radio has officially relocated to a new home with world class facilities known as the Station on Silver Street, Broadmead.

During this period of transformation, we will continue to broadcast some of your favourite and most popular shows, however there’s likely to be temporary changes to the programming schedule. This will include a mix of live, pre-recorded programs, repeated programs and automated music. Otherwise we aim to resume normal broadcasting in approximately three weeks’ time. We will of course keep you updated on our website with future progress.

As you can imagine, this is an exciting time in our evolution as Ujima Radio. In the coming future it will allow us to broaden our reach to wider audiences, to develop new talent and shows whilst increasing our impact in the way that we continue to champion diversity and the issues that matter to Bristol’s inner city communities.

With this in mind and in advance we thank you for your patience and we hope that you bear with us whilst the team works hard to ensure the smooth and efficient transfer of equipment and the initiation of new procedures for Ujima staff and presenters.  Also, we would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of our volunteers, and the Ujima staff team for their huge efforts in ensuring the switch has been carried out smoothly and effectively.

We would also like to thank the staff, trustees and CEO of the Creative Youth Network, the organisation that runs the complex known as the Station for their generous support and warm welcome into our new home at the Station.

On behalf of all of the Directors of Ujima Radio CIC, we wish to thank you for your ongoing and continued support and together lets ‘Keep On Movin
