OSC Takeover – Apprenticeships Show Special 4pm Monday 30th March 2015

Ujima continues to promote access into employment routes for our listeners and local communities. Following our series of Apprentice Shows with Junior Saunders last year we are pleased to host an Apprentice Show Special once again.

On Monday The Old Skool Cruising Show with Roger Griffith AKA – The G-Man and Safia will be hosting a two hour live apprentice special from 4pm, to promote the benefits of apprenticeships to employers in partnership sponsored by Western Training Partnership Network. Special guests include James Wilmot from WTPN, Helen Sinclair-Ross, Bristol City Council plus two young apprentices tell of their positive experiences. In addition Nicky Williams from  Local Enterprise Partnership provides information for employers plus contributions from other employers and training providers.

The listeners will also get to hear about new Apprentice opportunities and how Weston and Cirencester Colleges support local talent with their education and employment.

This is the fourth Employment Special the OSC team have ran with previous programmes including Dr Stephen Fear’s Business Remedies, recruitment in Avon and Somerset Police with Chief Inspector Norman Pascal and a special programme with BBC Bristol and BCFM focusing on black male unemployment which reaches 20% in those communities.

All this with a great range of music
