How is blood used?

*Patients with blood disorders such as Thalassemia, Sickle Cell and Anaemia need regular blood transfusions to treat their condition

*blood and blood products are used regularly in cancer and leukemia treatment

*blood is used during childbirth

 

Can you donate blood?

*You must be aged between 17 and 65

*You must be generally fit and well
