Following the cancellation of this year’s St Paul’s Carnival, the Carnival Commission, a grass-root led group formed with the ambition to secure a sustainable future for the Carnival. Read here to find out what’s happening in 2017…
Firstly to those of you that turned up for our final Talking Carnival event on 27th July, thank you for your positive reception and contributions.
Secondly, after 10 months, 12 Commissioners, 18 meetings, 3 community consultation events, 2 surveys and 1 report with contributions from over 400 participants from the community, cultural, civic and commercial sectors, please find attached a set of recommendations from the Carnival Commission on the future of St Pauls Carnival.
Do feel free to circulate and share the Recommendations or any of the other documents across your networks. Otherwise, hard-copies will be distributed from next week.
