From Her Point of View: new film course for women

Women are under-represented in many areas of film and video production. It’s time to change the lens and see things from a new perspective…

Bristol-based arts organisation Knowle West Media Centre has received funding from Creative Skillset’s Film Skills Fund, with BFI’s Film Forever National Lottery funds, to deliver a three-month training programme for women from January 2017.

From Her Point of View will provide participants with the support and opportunity to make a film.  Running from January – April 2017, the programme will include practical training workshops, talks from keynote speakers, industry visits and networking opportunities.

There are 10 places on the course and participants will form 2 production crews of 5 people per crew. The completed films will be screened as part of a city-wide event curated by Bristol Film Festival, celebrating women’s contribution to cinema.

Full details of the programme and how to apply can be found at http://kwmc.org.uk/projects/pointofview/

Deadline: 11th January 2017
