BBC Executive Pat Connor on Bristol’s Big Conversation

BBC Executive Pat Connor live on Ujima Radio’s Bristol’s Big Conversation with Roger Griffith 11am on Thursday.

Pat Connor is the Director of BBC South West and the driving force behind the BBC’s local partnerships, helping the BBC maintain strong and healthy local relationships.  Alongside her work for BBC South West, she provides overall leadership to BBC Bristol.

Pat has an extensive career in broadcasting working at BBC Radio Bristol and BBC Radio Four specialising in programmes on culture. She was Head of specialist and mainstream music programmes with BBC Radio 1 working on live events and music concerts.

She was an integral part of the team responsible for bringing the BBC 6 Music Festival to Bristol in 2016. Bringing the festival to Bristol was part of the BBC’s innovation and talent based relationship with the city. The BBC Bristol partnership has also helped the city progress in other fields such as higher and foundation education, creating new and innovate ways for students to enter the creative sector.

We look forward to hearing her and her music selections on Ujima Radio on Bristol’s Big Conversation 11am on Thursday 13th June.
